ONE-DIMENSIONAL SKILLSET

Most personal trainers are limited to their training certifications. Some have a modicum of dietary knowledge. A few have a degree in a related field.

MULTIDIMENSIONAL SKILL SETS

Our team has received extensive education from a variety of complementary fields. In addition to multiple fitness certifications, our coaches are military-trained and possess life-saving medical skills, advanced communication techniques, performance-based psychology, and sports and longevity-based nutrition knowledge.

LIMITED TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Many personal trainers lack extensive experience in their profession or in areas that complement their skillset. Their experience tends to be limited to the training they’ve provided to clients in the gym or from their own workouts.

DECADES OF COACHING EXPERIENCE

The Tier 1 Performance Institute provides decades of health and fitness coaching experience. Creed and Dr. Divingian have trained, taught, and advised hundreds of people from all walks of life. These include U.S. Marines and Navy SEALs, as well as grade school kids and senior citizens. We have also applied decades of experimentation in our own lives.

UNFOCUSED ATTENTION TO CLIENTS

Too many trainers can be found drifting away from their attention to their clients, often allowing themselves to get involved with their cell phones or other distractions.

HYPER-FOCUSED ATTENTION TO CLIENTS

Whenever we provide training or consultative service, we devote 100% attention to our clients. Simply put, when we are working with you, nothing else exists!

CONVENTIONAL TRAINING EDUCATION

Too many trainers limit their research to the prerequisites of their credentials. Other than obtaining mandatory continuing education credits, most fail to keep up with the latest research. Consequently, much of their knowledge becomes outdated.

ADVANCED COACHING EXPERTISE

We are constantly honing our skills as health and fitness trainers and consultants. Because the exercise and nutrition sciences are constantly evolving, we make it a priority to evolve as well. Never complacent, we are always on the hunt for the latest research findings to biohack longevity and human performance.

GYM TRAINING LOCATIONS

Due to non-compete agreements, many gym-employed trainers cannot legally train clients at their homes or other locations, nor are many skilled with online coaching capabilities.

ANY LOCATION

With the aid of a cell phone or computer, our training and consultative sessions can be conducted from any location on the planet.

RANDOM UNSTRUCTURED ROUTINES

A significant percentage of personal trainers lack well-structured program designs and can often be found prescribing random, arbitrary routines with little regard for scalable improvements.

STRUCTURED, GOAL-FOCUSED PROGRAMS

The Tier 1 Performance Institute was founded with the primary mission to investigate human potential and take client health and performance to the highest possible levels. This can only be achieved through scientifically measured, goal-focused, personalized programs that facilitate continued incremental gains in progress.

UNTRACKED SESSIONS

Only a small number of trainers track their client’s training data. Consequently, progress assessments are often unreliable or based on subjective perceptions.

METICULOUSLY TRACKED SESSIONS

We make every effort to track relevant data (such as reps, rep speed, sets, rest duration, positioning, volume, intensity, frequency, etc.) during every session. This meticulous attention to detail allows both coach and client to recognize areas that have shown improvements, as well as areas that require alternative approaches.

AVERAGE EXPECTATIONS/RESULTS

Statistically, most clients seeking to improve their health and transform their bodies will fail to reach their objectives. Trainers and gym marketers know this; so, they tailor their programs to keep expectations low (perhaps moderate at best). Consequently, clients are typically encouraged to be “reasonable” in their expectations and to embrace modest results.

EXTRAORDINARY EXPECTATIONS/RESULTS

We are never interested in “average.” Prospective clients looking for marginal results are encouraged to find other coaches elsewhere. At Tier 1 Performance Institute, we expect the best and give the best. Nothing but the best goals and results are expected. There’s a reason we say, “high-speed results for high-speed professionals.”

CAROLINE MOFFIT

Average Jane transforms into chiseled figure competitor

“Creed and Cat (“Dr. D”) were instrumental to my personal transformation. It was their expert advice that took my health and fitness to a whole new level and which started me on my journey to become a successful figure competitor.

“As a figure competitor and self-employed realtor, I need to always be healthy and in tip-top physical shape. Creed and Cat’s healthy dietary advice, along with their exercise regimen has helped me in keeping in top shape and fit for my everyday work. Being in good health enables me to be productive and feel and look my best all day, even when my schedule is tight and demanding.

“Creed’s workout techniques and health program work. I would gladly recommend him to anyone who needs to be in good shape and in good health. “My thanks to God, Creed, and Cat.”

DARIUS CREED

“I know what it’s like to be out of shape . . . or at least the WRONG shape!”

Over the past several decades, Creed has devoted literally thousands of hours to researching human potential, both in body and in mind. It is his passion, his identity. He is also an avid practitioner of his craft and loves to test his mental and physical abilities in a never-ending quest for personal transformation. A significant part of his passion lies in sharing his knowledge with anyone willing to take action towards improved health and fitness.

Yet, it wasn’t always an upward trajectory of self-improvement. Like anyone else, Creed has had his fair share of pity parties and self-sabotaging behaviors. At one point, during his 30s, after a particularly difficult period in his life, he skipped out on regular exercise, routinely indulged in comfort foods, and allowed himself to become tired and fat.

“I lot of clients don’t feel they can relate to their personal trainer, nor do they feel that their trainer can relate to them. Because it takes one to know one. They don’t feel like their trainer can truly understand what it’s like to struggle through obesity and all the challenges associated with it, both physical and psychological. But I understand. Because I’ve been there.

“Fortunately, this was a temporary setback. I eventually reached a point where I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired and decided to apply the principles I had learned to restore my health and transform myself back into the fit and healthy trainer I once was. The experience, while far from positive, gave me a personal understanding of the kinds of inner challenges that obese people go through. This perspective provided a template for duplicatable transformational success, one that teaches others the same mental secrets and health and fitness strategies I used to transform my own life.”

DR. CATHERINE DIVINGIAN

From multiple debilitating conditions and cynical outlook to vital fitness model, high-performance athlete, and possibility thinker

Now 54, Dr. Catherine Divingian has become the consummate hybrid athlete. She has performed one-arm push-ups and weighted pull-ups (strict form using a 45-pound plate), among other feats of strength. In addition to her daily running regime, once each week, she conducts several miles of interval ruck running—up and down hilly trails—wearing a 20-pound rucksack (backpack), which she also accomplished for a 26.2-mile marathon. She is incredibly conditioned with a resting heart rate in the low 40s. And her future fitness goals are off the charts. Yet, it is where she came from that is far more remarkable.

In her teens, she was anorexic and suffered from malnourishment. Her extreme diet led to osteoporosis confirmed by DEXA scan. This prompted her to take medications designed to protect her from further bone loss. This medication placed a heavy burden on her internal organs and eventually led to stage-3 chronic kidney disease. On top of all this, she was also diagnosed with osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, and chondromalacia patellae (knee degeneration). In addition, she had chronic fatigue syndrome and slept an average of 9 to 10 hours per day—often accompanied with naps—and still felt exhausted. Depression and cynicism were understandable consequences.

Her debilitating conditions only worsened with time. She eventually resorted to using a cane and even, on occasion, a wheelchair. By her 30s, she had a box full of meds, disintegrating health, and a bleak future.

Fortunately, after some soul searching, Dr. Divingian reached a critical point in her life where she had had enough. Deep within her frail and sickly body was a sleeping Giant who refused to quietly wither away. A switch was flipped in her mind where she began to challenge the limitations she recognized were self-imposed. Inevitably, this awakening led to a series of paradigm shifts that opened her mind to the key dietary and fitness strategies needed to throw away her drugs and overcome all of her “irreversible” conditions.

“Before I met Creed, I believed that it was all downhill from here. Little did I know that this gifted trainer would truly open my life to new possibilities of health, vitality, and strength. Over the time we’ve worked together, I’ve transformed from dumpy to sleek; and was able to compete in figure (a type of bodybuilding), as well as be in an international fitness modeling campaign.

“But it’s not all about looks; it’s about health and quality of life. Before I met Creed, I was a physical mess. I truly was convinced that the best years of my life were behind me. When he started me on my new program, I had no idea where it would ultimately lead. The transformation was incredible.

“Working with Creed also led to incredible strength gains. I have gone up to 520 lbs on leg presses and have done 12 strict dead-hang pull-ups. I’ve even done pull-ups with an additional 45 lbs of weight. I also recently reached a new personal record and can now do one-arm push-ups, yet another feat I never thought I could ever do. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without Creed.

“To this day, my energy is off the charts; and with every passing year, I continue to get healthier and strongerboth physically and psychologicallyand I’m now 50! Creed has a vision for every client and finds a way for him or her to reach the highest potential. I highly recommend doing what it takes to work with him. The sooner you get started, the sooner you will move toward fulfilling your dreams.”

After having devoted most of her life to academia as a professor (PhD in Health Psychology and MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences), by 50, Dr. Divingian was able to achieve her childhood dream of becoming a medical doctor (MD). She now serves several hospitals as an emergency medicine (EM) physician and provides consulting services in regenerative medicine.
